Systems Engineer Second Shift - Mumbai India
The Systems
Engineer is responsible for system installation, configuration,
troubleshooting, and management of various Windows XP/2000 applications
and systems. This individual also manages the enterprise desktop
platform, and resolves routine desktop trouble tickets.
To fulfill this role, the Systems Engineer must:
- Provide
day-to-day services, support, and assistance with various Windows
2000/XP applications and systems on phone to US customers.
- Resolve
routine desktop trouble tickets .
- Perform system
monitoring, identify network problems, and communicate recommendations
for solutions.
- Create and
maintain MSI installer packages for Active Directory software
deployment.
- Assist with
installation of new PC and LAN hardware and software.
- Assist with
space management and utilization as needed.
- Maintain
Backup, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Active Directory, Norton Ghost
Enterprise, Symantec Corporate Antivirus.
- Set up conference
meetings with necessary technology (laptops and projectors).
Qualifications:
The
successful candidate must have the following experience, skills,
and education:
- Minimum
of 2 years experience working with Windows 2000/XP workstation
including Server and Exchange 2000.
- Thorough
understanding of Active Directory, Corporate Antivirus, Ghost
Enterprise, Blackberry.
- Experience
performing centralized desktop management in an enterprise desktop
environment.
- Experience
with Client Interaction on phone and fluent in English is must.
- Competency
in TCP/IP networking for LAN and WAN .
- Proficiency
in Office 2000 functions and operations .
- Exceptional
organizational skills and attention to details.
- MCSA certification
plus.
- Associate
degree in Computer Systems or equivalent experience
Working hours are 6:30pm to 3:30am (IST). Local suburb applicant
will be preferred. English Fluency is must for this position,
applicant has to interact with US customers on phone.
